Shared Services is a management paradigm to organize and deliver internal support services more effectively. In this CIOnet afternoon event we’ll study some of the best practices in setting up and running shared services and discuss the role the CIO and IT can and must play in these projects.

In an increasingly competitive environment, companies must outperform themselves and engaging in shared services, is above all else, an extension of a company’s ongoing and clear determination to maintain the highest levels of excellence for its services. Shared services is not about standardizing and centralizing at all means, it only focuses on those services, where trough centralizing and standardizing, one can offer economies of scale, simplification, governance and above all class expertise and this trough targeting top level performance.
