Marco Zanussi (Italy) is the CIO and Global HR Director of the M&G Group, which he joined in 2001. As a member of the Executive Committee of the Group, he has been part of its outstanding grow of the Group till now. To support the rapid international expansion of M&G he developed the Global IT function and deployed since 2002 a fully outsourced global IT, with a very limited internal organisation, providing from a single centre location  services and support to all the 22 sites of the Group around the globe.  Beginning 2003 he pioneered  the use of  SaaS for mission critical applications of the Group and, from 2011, his  aggressive IT outsourcing strategy has logically evolved toward a hybrid cloud, achieving one of the first 100% cloud-based IT, including  SAP on IaaS in early 2012.

Prior to M&G, Marco Zanussi was CIO of Polimeri Europa (European joint venture between ENI Group and Union Carbide) for more than 6 years. Before that, he held several IT positions working in Italy and the US for the Italian chemical giant EniChem, where he started his career in 1988 right after his MBA. Marco was also part (1995 to 2002) of the IT Commission of the Italian Minister of Agricultural Information System.
