Olivier Clos (France) is CIO of Ludendo. After graduating as IT Engineer in 1989, he worked for nine years in the banking sector. The experience was technically rich but the “call of the business” was stronger: he chose to move on with his career in more human-sized companies, in the retail business. Ten years spent as CIO in “Orchestra” (children clothes) strengthened his conviction: bringing tools, ideas, looking for innovating process, leading a little company to achieve high objectives was such an exciting challenge!
Olivier Clos joined in 2008 the French toy & games group “Ludendo”, mostly known for its major brand “La Grande Récré” (and more recently “Hamley’s of London”). This French company, 35 years old and still managed by Jean-Michel Grunberg, the original founder, is becoming a major toy retail group in Europe (2nd place in France) thanks to its numerous brands.
Olivier was primarily active as CIO but has broadened since two years the scope of the IT department to two other functions: Organisation & Supply Chain. IT, Organisation and Supply Chain are strategic directions: why not combine them?
Member of the board as Executive Director, alongside the CEO and all the heads of departments of the company, Olivier is the operational referent for the current and the future projects. “And there are so many!”
