Rui Gomes (Portugal) is Director of Technology and Information Systems of Hospital Fernando Fonseca (Lisbon / Sintra). Invited Auxiliary Professor, Polytechnic Institute of Leiria. Graduated in Electronical Engineering by University of Coimbra. He owns a Master degree in Medical Informatics by University of Medicine of Porto and postgratute in Information Management, by Aveiro University.

His main activities and responsibilities relate with planning information systems; project management; analysis and information systems planning, high-tech infrastructures engineering and studies and partnerships relating health informatics, business, objects and applications.

Rui Gomes played the role of managing and participates as a member of the Center’s Executive Electronic Health Record of the Portuguese Ministry of Health and often participates in the management of national and European Research & Development.
