CIONET’s international conference CIO CITY was a great success again this year. More than 140 CIO’s gathered for 2 days to discuss how they can become digital leaders in an increasingly complex, uncertain and ambiguous world!
But more on this later. At CIO CITY, we also celebrated 3 European CIO’s who have distinguished themselves in their IT leadership role in the past years. They were selected from a list of 18 candidates for this award, who all had a large number of successes in their leadership role. The choice was hard for the jury, and after lengthy debates and thorough considerations, the three winners were finally revealed.
So, many congratulations to the 3 winners of this year:
- Technology-driven European CIO of the Year: Nuno Miller from Portugal, former CIO of Farfetch, now CTO at Videdressing;
- Process-driven European CIO of the Year: Jeroen Tas from The Netherlands, former CIO at Philips, now CEO Informatics, Solutions and Services division of Philips Healthcare;
- Client-driven European CIO of the Year: Federico Florez from Spain, Chief Information and Innovation Officer at Ferrovial.
We will cover the CIO CITY conference in a next blog, but in the meantime here are the first pictures from the award ceremony in the presence of Maros Sevcovic, VP of the European Commission, and Nils Fonstad, Director at Insead:
…and many thanks to our sponsor Cognizant to make this happen !
